about
For a given elliptical laser beam injected in a multimode fiber optic with an afocal system made of two lenses, calculates the coupling efficiency as a function of the wavelength, the incident beam waist dimensions and M square factors along the horizontal and vertical axis, the focal lengths of the two lenses, the diameter and numerical aperture of the fiber optic and its entrance facet transmission. The waist of the elliptical beam in the object space is supposed to be in the front focal plane of the first lens. Therefore, the waist of the transmitted beam is in the back focal plane of the second lens where the fiber entrance is also located. This can be possible if the focal lengths are positive (For the first and second lenses, the respective front and back focal planes are "real" and not "virtual"
