about
For an elliptical beam (which could come from a waveguide or a laser diode) injected with an afocal system into a single mode fiber, calculates the coupling ratio as a function of the incident beam waist widths, the focal lengths, the fiber optic mode radius and the eventual misalignments. It is supposed that the waist of the incident beam is in the front focal plane of the first lens and is centered on its front focal point. Also, without misalignments, the fiber optic entrance is in the back focal plane of the second lens and is centered on its back focal point.
