Caution
Except for wedges, the prisms angles are quite large and do not transmit incident rays normal to the first facet. Therefore, it is recommanded to test suitable angles of incidence in the Handy Calculation page: diffraction angle when using the Quick Entry interface.
When inserted in a system through the insert a component feature, a prism is automatically rotated so that the incident ray can be transmitted. The angle of incidence corresponds then to the angle of incidence providing the minimum deviation.
