n_o : ordinary refraction index of the birefringent material
n_e : extraordinary refraction index of the birefringent material for a plane wave propagating perpendicularly to the neutral axis
teta : angle made by the direction of propagation referred to the optical axis
n_e_teta : extraordinary refraction index of the uniaxial material for the considered plane wave
