about
For an elliptical beam (which could come from a waveguide or laser diode) injected into a single mode fiber, calculates the coupling ratio as a function of the waist widths, the fiber optic mode radius, the wavelength, the transmission coefficient at the fiber entrance and the eventual misalignments. It is assumed that without misalignments, the plane of the fiber optic entrance is coinciding with the beam waist plane and is centered on it.
