about
A plane and monochromatic wave interferes after being diffracted by two rectangular slits. The pattern obtained at infinity is observed in the focal plane of a lens. The page calculates the width of the brightest band of the diffraction envelope and the interfringe of the interference pattern as functions of the wavelength, the slits width, the distance between the slits centers and the effective focal length of the lens.
