The page calculates the power from a punctual isotropic source capted by and transmitted through a cylindrical light guide as functions of the source intensity, the source position regarding the light guide entrance, the diameter, the length, the attenuation per length unit and the refraction index of the light guide.

The capted power comes from rays impacting the light guide entrance.

Note that the transmitted power includes the losses induced by Fresnel reflections on the light guide facets.
