Single component block
A single component block contains several input tables enabling to specify the type of component, its parametrs, its relative position to the next component and some eventual other parameters. There are at least 4 tables.

Type table

Type table is displayed by default on the left of the component block. It is made of two drop-down menus. The first menu allows to select the type of component (lens, mirror, grating, prism or window). The second one enables to select its category (for instance plano-convex, achromat, etc. for a lens or elliptic, parabolic, etc. for a mirror).

Once this selection made, a second table is displayed on the right.

Filtering table

The filtering table enables to filter components of the catalog according to entered parameters. These parameters depend on the type of component selected. Once this table filled in and validated with the search button, the list of components which parameters are close to the selection criteria is created. If this list is not displayed, click on the display list button. You can hide the list by clicking on the same button which name has changed to hide list.

Components list

The components list enables to select a component. The component is selected by clicking on its reference in the list. Its parameters are then displayed in the filtering table and its reference appears above. Except for lenses, selecting a component displays a table allowing to rotate the component. For gratings this table allows to define the diffraction order.

Note that the paramaters of the selected component are then displayed in table 2 ("Component filtering table").

tilt and order-tilt table

For mirrors, prisms and windows, the tilt table is displayed after the component selection while for gratings it is the order-tilt table. In all cases, the Θ_X defines a tilt around the Y axis of the first surface of the component. Preliminary, if the chief ray is transmitted up to the component, its first surface is centered on the chief ray and its Z axis is merging wirth the chief ray, so that the chief ray is normal to the first surface of the component. If the chief ray can not be calculated, preliminary, the first surface of the component is aligned on the Z axis of the previous component.

For gratings, the order-tilt table displays also the order cell for defining the diffraction order.
